Paramotoring PPG - Technical modifications

 "WJ Airwolf Fuel stop valve.

On occasion ,when I have a full  to 3/4 tank of gas, I have gas spillage when taking my Airwolf in or out of my van. This can also happen if you take a spill. To sort this problem out, go to your local bike shop where they sell motocross bikes. As you know Motocross bikes spend a good part of their time on their side, I know, my son raced for two years. These bikes have the same set up on their gas tanks, fuel vent hose coming from the gas cap. The only difference is that, most MX bikes have a fuel valve usually several inches from the gas cap. This valve only allows air in for the venting of the gas cap and when the bike spills the one way valve stops the gas from exiting the vent hose. You can install this valve on your WJ Airwolf and solve this problem. The Part in the Pics comes from a Yamaha MX 250. The cost is approx $22.00.

Install the valve, in line with the vent hose leaving approx 4-5"  hose trailing. You will notice on the valve that is has an arrow and a word ,"tank".  Ensure you install the arrow towards the tank. The (Right) pic shows the valve working, the paramotor is tipped over. You will notice fuel on the tank side and no fuel exiting the vent hose. Have a good one!

Take care Frank.
