30 September 2008 - Weyman Airfield
and Fredericton Area - Fall season is here! Bob and Dave flew out of Weyman
Airfield this evening and took some pictures of the fall colours in the Fredericton
Area. Great pics!

25 September 2008 - The Weather Network visit's PPGNB -
Shelley and her cameraman Jeremy had showed up this morning for an introductory flight and
to discuss how the weather is related to our sport. I took Shelley for several flight's so
that her very professional cameraman can get different angle shot's from different
locations. It was fun, and the video will be aired on the Weather Channel Canada wide for
the next month or so starting Monday evening.

23 September 2008 - Starting Trike
Conversion Training - PPGNB will start a one day conversion course for already
qualified foot launch pilots to learn flying techniques with a PPG trike .
Most experienced PPG Trike Pilot's will tell
you that the conversion from foot launch to trike launch is not as easy as it
look's. The launch technique as well as the kiting of the glider takes at times
little more finesse and control ensuing a smooth take-off.
If you have the desire to take trike
training, the Trike Conversion Course will give you the knowledge and practical skills to
fly a PPG trike successfully.
There are two way's to take the
course. One way is with your own equipment (trike) or training with the Mini PPC.
The cost of each course is as
follows:
$50.00 per hour for regular trike
training (Customer's equipment);
$400.00 for a 1 day training session
with my equipment (Mini PPC) to include a minimum of 10 flight's; or
Purchase of a new Mini PPC -
Free Trike Conversion Training!!
No need to carry the paramotor on your
back, just drive the trike to the launch site. If interested, just give us a call
and training will be available to your convenience.
Note - Again, these conversion
courses/prices/offer's are for only already qualified PPG foot launch Pilot's.
21 September 2008 - New Mini PPC Video
- This morning Johanne and I made a Mini PPC Training video to add to our Video
library. This video show's how with the unique Mini PPC really is. The
glider attachment really makes it so simple to fly as there are no risers to pull up
during launch. The Mini incorporates a upper rack style attachment that allows the
glider to come up straight every time with little or no requirement to re-align the glider
prior to take off. !! In the video I am landing with the engine off, this is
simulating exactly the procedure that my students will conduct during their first 10-15
landings. After they have perfected their landings we start more advanced landing
techniques with the engine running and using a mixture of brakes(Flare) and engine power
for a very soft landing. There is an example of this near the end of the video showing
touch & go landings. The Mini PPC is the most simplest trike to fly on the market!!
Watch the video and you can see for yourself. Mini Video

20 September 2008 - Henry Starts Trike Training at PPGNB
- While the guys where flying this morning, Henry started his training beginning with
theory lessons and ending with simulated launch technique practice going down the PPG
Field with the Mini-PPC.

20 September 2008 - Cold Morning at PPGNB - This
morning Ed, Jim and TIm flew around the Sussex area. Frost on the ground is a sure
sign of cold weather slowly creeping upon us.

19 September 2008 - Cross Country to
Belleisle Creek, NB - This morning was very nice weather for flying with lights
winds but it was cold!! So, I waited for the weather to warm up a bit and I took the
Xcitor for a flight around 0900 hrs this morning to Belleisle Bay. The air was very nice
but a little turbulent below 1000'. I flew around 1600' and it was smooth sailing. I had a
chance to take a few pics of the area and I hadn't realized how really nice the Belle Isle
area is. Johanne had commented we're going to have to take a scooter ride to check
it out. The flight lasted 70 minutes. Few pics

After lunch we cross country down to Belleisle
Creek on the scooter and found a beautiful Bed & Breakfast located on the Bay.
Of course Johanne had to meet the owner Donna and she gave us a tour of their beautiful
new B&B. Its a 5 star with all the amenities of your dream home. Its only
30 minutes from Sussex, NB and open all year round. We highly recommend it to anyone
who wants a lovely place to rest, relax and fly the beautiful bay. You will not
forget the beautiful view. The Belleisle Bay Bed & Breakfast website can be
found at: www.canadianbedbreakfast.com/newbrunswick/belleislebaybb.htm
16 September 2008 - Cross Country
Flight - Received a email from David in Fredericton, NB today stating that he and
Bob drove to Hartland, NB yesterday and had a great cross country flights. They
found a farmer's field to launch from in Hartland and headed down the Saint John River and
flew the farmers fields to Woodstock and landed at the Woodstock Air field. Talked
to local pilots, refueled, added long underwear and jacket before they were on their
way to Nackawic/Scott's field. Then they decided to head directly back to Weyman
field due to the visit with Ernie and nights are getting shorter.
Total time - Hartland to Woodstock 4:20 – 5:05
(45 minutes)
Woodstock to Weyman 5:25 – 7:15 (1:50 minutes)
They figure about 110km, wow, what a great
flight!!
16 September 2008 - Time to fly
- After working all day on the motor home getting it ready for our trip to Florida, I
noticed a Balloon aloft over Sussex. The weather was perfect for flying, so I quickly
finished my work and was flying 20 minutes later. The Balloon had already landed so I had
fun playing around the corn field and doing foot drags along the PPG Field.

11 September 2008 - Nice Weather - The
morning started with Ray and I flying off the PPG Field. Later this evening Mark,
Jim and Tim took off for Hampton while I had flown foot & Trike launch demos for a
potential customer.
