04 Jan 09 - Last day in Pine Island, Florida
- This morning was my last flight with the Florida Para Flyers until we
meet again in California. Tomorrow we start our cross country journey to
Salton Sea, California to attend our 3rd Powered Paragliding event. Jo and I
have some family & family to visit in Texas along the way. I'm sure
I'll get some quick flight's alongside Highway 10.

03 Jan 09 - Congratulation Leslie!
- After 108 Trike Flights, Leslie took her 100th Foot Launch Flight this
evening at Pine Island. Mike presented his daughter with a bottle of
Welch's Sparking Non-Alcohol Grape Juice. Later that evening the Para Flyers had
their traditional Saturday Night Steak Dinner by the campfire.

03 Jan 09 - Nice Morning flight - Well, the
Florida Para-Flyers had taken advantage of some decent air this morning. We were
planning to go to Cayo Costa Island but the wind was not prevailing in the safe
direction, as well as the winds aloft were a little strong for a safe return
back to Pine Island. Nevertheless, we flew the main land of Pine Island and had
taken advantage of the beautiful scenery. Some pics

02 Jan 09 - First Day of the Year
- Mike, Lesile, Capt Don, Dave and I were able to take our first evening
flight in 2009. It was windy all day but the winds dropped down for a
perfect evening flight. Rob & Marty are arriving later on this evening and
hopefully the weather will co-operate for another Cayo Costa Island trip.

31 Dec 08 - Last Day of the Year
- Yesterday some local PPG Pilots in New Brunswick took their last flight
for 2008. Four trike on skis and one hard core foot launcher pilot enjoyed
the airways at Weyman Airport. The weather and snow conditions were
perfect and definitely worth the effort to enjoy their possible last PPG flight
in NB for 2008.

30 Dec 08 - Pine Island Fly - In
- We arrived Pine Island on Friday evening 26 Dec 08. The
next day a few PPG Pilots from Quebec had arrived to enjoy the warm air.
There was plenty of flying opportunities to date in which we were flying
morning, noon and evening in the sun shine state over the beaches, mangroves and
watching the dolphins swimming. Three Quebec pilots made the trip to Cayo
Costa Island and stayed there several hours soaking up the sun. We're
planning a mass launch to the Island when conditions are good!!

8 Dec 08 - Testing new trike -
Eric and I have been testing and flying the Green Eagle 4 stroke Trike the last
couple of days. There were a few adjustments and mods that we had
requested of the owner Ashton but overall we were very impressed with the
quality of construction and power of the 4 stroke powerplant. The Green
Eagle Trike has a very good power to weight ratio and gets even a heavy pilot
off the ground in no time. Eric, Ashton and I have been trying several different
paragliders to see what would be the best matched glider for the average pilot.
The 35 HP 4 stroke is very quiet, reliable with great fuel economy. It comes
standard as a gas model but you can also order it to run propane with trike or
quad wheels. It is designed to fit in the back of any small or large
pickup truck. Also it can be transported with a newly engineered easy
launch system or wheelchair ramp on a car without disassembling.
Eric and I will be becoming HUB Dealers for the Green
Eagle Trike and PPGNB will be providing the trike for Canadian pilots starting
2009 training season.
Anyone interested in this Trike, send me an E-mail and I
can give you further details.

5 Dec 08 - Testing new glider -
This evening I had the chance to try out a Axis Compact 23. Nice glider,
DHV1 great for your first wing. Johanne came with us on the Para-Barge and
took several photos of the local wildlife. The airboats usually stop and
watch the pilots fly up and down the St John River in Florida. The evening
sunsets are always amazing on the Para-Barge.

30 Nov 08 - Bob's 100th flight - Congratulation
Bob for achieving your first 100 flights. Dave and Glen participated this
morning in the cold flight in the Fredericton Area.

27 Nov 08 - American Thanksgiving -
After a wonderful American Thanksgiving dinner cooked by Leslie and Stan we had
time to fly another evening flight. Eric took Johanne for an Excitor
flight and here are some pictures of Christmas, FL.

26 Nov 08 - NB Pilots last evening
flight
- Dave and Glen had plenty of flights in Florida during their visit. They
flew with some of the Florida Para-Flyers as well as getting a chance to meet
the USPPA President Jeff Goin. Jeff was down to get his Tandem
Certification from Eric Dufour and at the same time he took advantage of
capturing some video for his Advanced Training Instructional video. Jeff
had taken some close up video of Stan Kasica and Mike Brit flying just beside
the Para-Barge displaying active flying skills. He also had filmed us
launching & landing and conducting low altitude manouvres.

24 Nov 08 - Three NB Pilots on the Para-Barge
- Stan took us on the Para-Barge run this morning and we where able to see
gators on the shore and from the air. I'm sure that Glen and Dave will
have fond memories of this morning's flight when they're flying in the white
stuff back home.

23 Nov 08 - Three NB Pilots in Florida - Glen,
Dave and myself flew Friday evening and Sunday morning in Christmas, Florida.

18 Nov 08 - Flight 97 for Bob - Bob
flew two hours this afternoon around the City of Fredericton, NB and up the
Saint John River. Taking advantage of the calm air and looking at the
beautiful scenery made his 97th flight enjoyable.
12 Nov 08 - Roar n' Soar Fly-In -
We've added and updated the Roar n' Soar Fly-In at the Fantasy of Flight event
link above.
10 Nov 08 - We're back in Florida - Had a
great weekend at the Fantasy of Flight with the Florida Para Flyers. This
is our first Fly-In that we've attended during our Southern tour and won't be
our last. It was great to fly in warm sunny conditions and seeing many of our
American fellow PPG Pilot's. We're already looking forward to the next Fly-In
next month in Pine Island for New Year's. Johanne, will be working on the
Roar n Soar Fly-In hyperlink at Fantasy of Flight so you can see many other pics
of this great event. In the meantime, here are a few awesome pic's taken
by Lesile Britt another female PPG pilot.
