7 Feb 09 - Tim
& Frank flew this morning - This morning I had flown a
short flight to warm up the paramotor for Tim and then Tim took off for an XC
flight to the local mine. When Tim had finished his flight I flew several
short flights afterwards to get in a few pics. The winds were picking up quickly
so we're hoping for calmer air later on in the day.

6 Feb 09 - Tim
flew Casa
Grande, Arizona - This morning Tim flew from the Casa Grande Resort.
The window of opportunity for flying this morning was limited, and Tim had a
chance to get in a quick 30 minute flight. The rest of the day was windy and
unfortunately it looks like a storm front is heading our way. Here are a
few pics.

4 Feb 09 - Casa
Grande, Arizona - This evening I had a chance to meet more
pilots at Mo's training field just outside of Casa Grande . Paul and I
flew the local hills and cactus fields before sunset.

3 Feb 09 - Salton
Sea, California link - The Salton Sea, California link is now
completed. Click the link above to see more pictures of the event.
28 Jan 09 - Traveling,
sight seeing and flying - We had all departed
Salton Sea, California as a caravan and had visited many unforgettable sights in
the last couple of day's. Our first stop was Las Vegas in which Stan and
Rob gave us a great tour of the beautiful city, followed by the Hoover Dam,
Grand Canyon and finally ending up in Sedona Arizona. As we headed farther North
it started to get colder and colder, and yes we were in the snow for a
short time in which Leslie was very delighted to see the white stuff. Some
of the pics below have nothing to do with PPG, but it gives you an insight on
just how great this trip was. Below are a few pics of our journey.
Las Vegas - We all totally enjoyed the
walk down Las Vegas Blvd to see the city of lights and night entertainment.
Hoover Dam - Is between the Nevada and Arizona
State crossing. It generates enough power for Nevada, Arizona and
California. You can see the water levels had dropped by the color of the
white rock.

Grand Canyon - Early morning to catch
the first sun rise of one of the Earth's most powerful inspiring
landscapes. About 215 miles (356 km) by road, 18 miles (29 km) wide , a
mile (1.6 km) deep and elevation of 7,000 feet.

Florida Para Flyers enjoying the white stuff near Flat Staff.
Sedona - We all had a chance to fly
Sedona and enjoy the great scenic view of the red rock landscape.

24 Jan 09 - Florida Para Flyers flew around Salton
Sea California - Nine Para Flyers from Florida flew 104
miles around Salton Sea. It took us approximately 7 hours with three gas
stops. It was the first time anyone accomplished this trip and the ground
crew to include Jim McLeod from New Brunswick had travel over 130 miles by road. When we arrived back the bear
drop and kiting war started until the last person drops his glider. Jo and
I will be on the road for the next two weeks with the Para-flyers. In two weeks
we'll be attending Mo's Fly-In in Arizona.

23 Jan 09 - 10 Female Pilots -
This morning the Stan and Rob made two trips on the PPG Train to bring the
equipment to the beach. We flew to the mountains and along Salton Sea
before landing back. Another full day for PPG Pilots to fly all day and
later in the afternoon 10 female Pilots had the change to fly with each
other. Then Bubba from Colorado decided to pose with the PPG Calendar
Girls.

22 Jan 09 - Paratoys Convention started
- This morning after the briefing there was 160 registered pilots eager to
fly. The weather was of course flyable all day, and many pilot's had the
chance to get in some great flight's as well as looking at the newest technology
in equipment in the industry. Fun for ALL!!

21 Jan 09 - Jim and Mark arrived - This
morning we were surprised to see Jim and Mark from New Brunswick, Canada and
they are enjoying the California weather. Mark flew his Fusion glider for
the first time and Michelle from Albuquerque, New Mexico was completing a low
fly by on the Mini PPG using her smoke system.

Later that evening I joined in with the Pilots from
Albuquerque, New Mexico to practice a few tunes for Saturday Night.

19 Jan 09 - More people arriving
- This afternoon, Christian arrived from Alberta and couldn't wait to fly
his toys.

16 Jan 09 - Big Blue Sky - Salton City, California
- No clouds here only one big blue sky. The air in this area is so good that
pilot's can afford to sleep in considering it is flyable most of the day. I had
the opportunity to help out a fairly new pilot with a quick engine tune up and lend a hand
to improve his reverse launch technique.

15 Jan 09 - Arrived at Salton City, California
- We finally arrived at Salton City after traveling 10 days from
Florida. The weather is in the high 80's and although the trip was
long, the taste of California air made it worth it. Other pilots from Washington
and Colorado had also arrived early to take advantage of the weather and
air.
