Jan 10 - On the road again -
Another frosty morning and the cold temperatures continues here in Florida. So, Jo
and I will be heading west to California today to get out of the cold jet
stream. We'll be at the ParaToy's Fly-In location at Salton Sea really early but
this will give Jo and I the opportunity to get in some Tandem flights and enjoy the warm
smooth California air again!!

Jan 10 - Another cold front -
They say, "Its not winter here" but everyone is dressed for the cold. It's
been cold but at least there's no snow!! Paul from PPG Planet gave me a 21M U
Turn obsession glider to test fly. The air was rough but the weather was forecasted
to be even worse for the next two day's, so I figured if I want to get in my last
flight I better fly now. Later on after flying, Paul had shown me how to
re-install a new submersion pill in my Agama. I had learned that it's a good idea to
change this pill every year to ensure that the Agama does not deploy prematurely.
To further explain, the submersion pill works by once submerged underwater or
getting completely wet. The pill will quickly dissolve and will allow the firing pin
strike the air bottle deploying the Agama flotation device. This means there is no
requirement for you to pull the deployment cord to deploy the device, it will
automatically operate if you end up in water. The reason to change your submersion
pill annually is because your agama has most likely been in damp conditions like most
morning when we fly. Each time when the pill gets damp, it starts to deteriorate and
weaken in which after time it will most likely fail and pre-maturely activate your
Agama. There has been several pilot's that this had occurred, so it's a good idea to
get it changed if you hadn't changed it as of yet.

Jan 10 - 1st flight in 2010!
- The weather forcast was calling a heavy rain fall this morning. I was going to fly
the Xenit trike but as I was getting set up it started to rain. The rain was scattered so
I put the Xenit back under cover. Shortly after putting the trike under cover the
rain has stopped but I could see a large weather system moving in. I set up my Paramotor
and flew another quick flight long enough to take a few photos.

Dec 09 - Last flight of the year -
My last flight of the year was over in Pine Island. We arrived late in the evening
and there was not much time to get in a flight. I quickly set up the Motorhome and
rushed to assemble and fuel my paramotor. I did manage to get in a quick flight and it was
nice to see the Island again from the air!!
