11 Jun 10 - Qualified
Flights Completed - Tony completed 11 additional flights this
morning and showed the basic skills required to complete the course. Tony was flying
so well he made it look too easy!! Johanne gave me a chair so I can relax and watch
Tony fly while she took all the pictures and videos. Life it good when your student
is having all the fun!! Tony will be continuing his flying back home from the Halifax,
Nova Scotia area. Good work Tony!!
10 Jun 10 - Nice XC Flight -
This morning was excelllent weather for a decent XC flight. I took out the Miniplane and
the Rev Glider for a spin. I flew around Sussex then to Norton. It was a very relaxing
flight.
9 Jun 10 - Tandem Flight -
This evening Eric drove drown from New Maryland, NB to take an Introductory flight to
confirm if he would be interested in taking this sport. He loved the flight and is
signing up for a course!! You should be seeing Eric again sometime next month during his
training.
7 Jun 10 - Fly Products ECO 4
- Bruce is putting his flying on hold for a while and had sold me his Eco 4 trike. I
have to tell you when I originally sold it to Bruce I really missed this unit due to it's
unique quiet 4 stroke engine by Flanders in Belgium. Another real plus is the foot
throttle and drum front brake. I flew it this evening for a quick flight to check
out how the unit runs and also to check out the glider. It ran as smooth as always and
with the Sting 250 combination this unit was really a pleasure to fly. I'll be listing the
unit under my used gear link. If you're looking for a one of a kind
4 stroke check it out. Here's a few pics of the unit.

May 10 - Small XC this morning! - I was hoping to get in a
decent XC flight this morning to meet Jim and Tim around the Norton area. I could
tell by the cloud formations that the winds aloft were moving fast. Well I wasn't
surprised when I was nearly parked at Altitude . I made it close to Norton but the air was
getting worse and I couldn't see the boys. I flew back to Sussex and made it a short
flight. About a half hour later after I landed Jim and Tim flew in!! They made it to
Sussex due to a downwind and were at times moving 90kms. The pic below shows Tim
& Jim together beside Jim's Parajet Rotron. This unit has a Rotary engine and is the
only one in Canada!! And last, Happy Birthday Jim!!

May 10 - Tony's continues to Fly!! - Tony had two more
flights this morning. Unfortunately he pulled a muscle in his leg during a landing
in which stopped him from continuing on with his training.Tony is going to head back home
for a week or so to allow his leg to heal up. Tony will be back soon to finish off his
remaining qualification flights!!
26 May 10 - Newly qualified Pilots flying the Fredericton
Skies!! - Paul took these pictures of Dave and Ron as they joined
the ranks with the Weyman Squadron from Fredericton. They both had practised several
take-off and landings. Good work guys!!
25 May 10 - Tony's 1st
Flight - This morning I took Tony up on a tandem flight with the
the Xenit Trike. The Tandem flight allows students to feel what it's like to fly a
Powered Paraglider prior to their first solo flight. During the tandem flight
the student gets a chance to control the glider as well as confirm the altitude and
waypoints on the ground. Afterwards I conducted a foot launch demonstration
and test flight on Tony's equipment. Tony was eager to get in the air and not long
after Tony was flying. He flew 5 sucessful flights this morning before the winds
picked up. Good work Tony!!
24 May 10 -
Victiora Day - No Holiday for us today, we were all up early this
morning in the PPG Field practicing glider control. Tony did very well, we completed
In-Flight procedures as well as going over PPG instruction videos. At the end of the
day, Tony wrote his SPP exam and passed. He's now ready to Fly!! Hopefully
Mother Nature will give him his chance tomorrow morning.

23 May 10 - Day
One for Tony - Tony arrived before noon and the PPG training
started. We covered theory lessons followed by paramotor training. Tony
learned how to disassemble/ and assemble his Miniplane as well as starting
procedures. He had a chance to feel the thrust on his back and he was quite
impressed on how this lightweight unit pushed him forward. Later on we did the basic
launch technique with the paramotor on Tony's back. We finished off the day with
kiting theory and technique so that he has a better understands on how to conrtol the
glider. Unfortunately today was a Windfest and we could not hook Tony up to a
paraglider. Hopefully tomorrow morning we'll be able to get some kiting in.
