28 Dec 11 -  Challenger Tandem Introductory Flights  -  PPGNB is now introducing Tandem Challenger flights for potential pilots. This will give you the chance to see if Challenger flying is for you.  I will not be offering fixed wing instruction with the Challenger due to my commitment to Powered Paragliding Training, however I can point you in the right direction to get you training on the Challenger.  Here's the link

16 Dec 11 -  Coast of Northern California  -  We received this video this morning from Mike Robinson owner of Paratoys in California, BlackHawk Paramotors.   Mike was one of the four pilots who had the opportunity to experience flying over terrain rarely seen by humans off  the lost coast of Northern California.  Here is the shared video of their limits  - Video

13 Dec 11 -  Fun morning!!  -  I haven't flown for a while, so this morning I flew the Challenger around Sussex and surrounding areas.  I also wanted to try out the GPS system on my Smartphone (Samsung Galaxy S II).  I had a perfect mount for it, and it worked very well with satellite imagery.  It would be a great back up system if my main GPS failed.  I flew a few flights and landed on the Sussex Airstrip as well as John's Airstrip in Belleisle Creek.  I  find that the take off and landings on a fixed wing are fun especially flying into my airstrip.  Jo had made another video of one of my my take off and landing.  Even for myself it's amazing the STOL (Short Take off and Landing) the Challenger is.

2 Dec 11 - Miniplane Christmas Sale!  - Until the 31 December 2011, the Miniplane Top 80 Paramotor has a Christmas Sale $5900.00 plus tax.  This Holiday Sale is a $300.00 dollars saving.

Here is a video showing the performance of the Miniplane flying at high attitudes -  Opération Mt-Blanc 5000 en paramoteur (version courte 8 min.)

2 Dec 11 -  Poley Mt Flight !!  -  I had some limited fuel left in the Challenger that had to get used, well not really but it was my excuse to go flying this morning. I really didn't have much fuel for a decent flight so I flew around Poley Mt and had what I thought took some nice pics.   Unfortunately I had forgotten the Memory card in the computer at home. Oh well, it was a nice flight anyway. Jo took a few pics from the ground. Jo will be placing more pics from the Roar & Soar Fly In later on today.

29 Nov 11 -  Let it snow, Let it snow, Let it snow !!  -  I went for a nice flight with the Challenger to the Grand Lake and Jemseg area this morning. Nice flight!!  After the flight I went to pick up our Snowmobile!!  This beast will be used to groom our runway as well as tear up the NB Trails this Winter!!  It's been a long time since I really wanted the snow to begin!!       Few Pics and video of my return landing from the NE.  Video

26 Nov 11 - Paul's Video of St John River outside Fredericton, NB  -  Here is a video from Paul flying along the St John River  near Fredericton NB.  video

We're going to start to add videos to our video link on our web site of pilots flying in different areas of NB or other parts of the Maritimes.

Kev send us a video flying over the Hammond River and Eric in the Bathurst area.  If anyone has an interesting video that you would like to add onto our video page send us the link.  Here is the Video Link

24 Nov 11 - Winter Wonderland in the Maritimes  -  The Maritimes received our first winter snow storm of the season yesterday.  Looks like Dave and Bob enjoyed the winter flying.  The snow was not yet deep enough to attach the skis to their trikes so they took off on wheels. Hopefully the deep white stuff will hold off for a little longer!! Makes a nice pic though!!

22 Nov 11 - Home Sweet Home!!  -  Jo and I finally made it back home together in Sussex, NB.   We've both had been away for several weeks and agree that there is nothing like being Home Sweet Home!!    We arrived back home later on in the evening and after getting groceries and checking our mail, I rushed out for some fuel for the Challenger.  It was late, but I did manage to get in a short flight!!

16 Nov 11 - A nice reflexion flight!!  -   This evening I took advantage of some nice air. I haven't flown the Paramania Rev glider in a while so it was time to come out of the bag.  The conditions were calm with very high humidity in which equals to little power during inflation, trims set slightly faster, Hold the "A's slightly longer and don't forget to  "Run, Run, Run,".  Had a great short evening flight.    Frank , "Maritime Reflex Squadron".    Here's the vid thanks to Glen Boyd. 13 Nov 11 - Roar & Soar  -  I just arrived back from Roar & Soar hosted by Kermit Weeks the owner of Fantasy of Flight Florida. Johanne unfortunately could not attend but all the pilots and especially myself missed her. The Para-Flyers attended along with many more other pilots from around the Southern States including the Georgia Bad apples.  There were approx 32 pilots attending ,and special thanks to Scott Addair who organized the event for the PPG pilots. As usual there was plenty of PPG flying as well as many great events including Show cars, Motorcycles and of course WWI and WWII vintage aircraft.  It was fun and we're already looking forward to next years invite. Few pics
