Arizona Flying Circus  -  2009

The 6th Annual Arizona Flying Circus was on the 6 - 8 of February 2009 at the Francisco Grande Resort in Casa Grande, Arizona.  It was are first time and there was approximately 75 registered PPG Pilots.

There was a surprising amount of flying due to the high winds but that did not stop every one from flying. The Nirvana Team from Czech Republic had fun flying their 16 meter gliders when the winds were high. Tim and Cathy from New Brunswick came to visit us to get away from the snow and we had a chance to get in a couple of flight's during the event.

5 - 7 February 2009  -  Flying Circus Fly-In - Some of the Florida Para Flyers on our way to Arizona Flying Circus had a chance to fly the mountains of Sedona, Arizona to experience and enjoy the great scenic view of the red rock landscape.  Here are a few pics.

4 Feb 09 - Casa Grande, Arizona -  This evening I had a chance to meet more pilots at Mo's training field just outside of Casa Grande .  Paul and I flew the local hills and cactus fields before sunset.

6 Feb 09 - Tim flew Casa Grande, Arizona -  This morning Tim flew from the Casa Grande Resort. The window of opportunity for flying this morning was limited, and Tim had a chance to get in a quick 30 minute flight. The rest of the day was windy and unfortunately it looks like a storm front is heading our way.  Here are a few pics.

7 Feb 09 - Tim & Frank flew this morning -  This morning  I had flown a short flight to warm up the paramotor for Tim and then Tim took off for an XC flight to the local mine.  When Tim had finished his flight I flew several short flights afterwards to get in a few pics. The winds were picking up quickly so we're hoping for calmer air later on in the day.
