26
- 27 August 11 - 2nd Challenger Rendezvous - Friday evening
we arrived just in time for supper at the local pub and latter gather back at Bernie's
place for a campfire. Saturday morning started with bacon and eggs in Bernie's Hangar
watching pilots landing. Bryan Quickmire from Challenger.ca gave a briefing of the
old and new changes to the aircraft. Bob Lake from Kingston also gave a detail
presentation on how to build an aircraft from start to finish. That evening we all enjoyed
everyone's company for dinner will lots of laughs wondering what tomorrow would bring with
Hurricane Irene approaching the Atlantic coast.
Special Thanks to Pierre
& Helene Brisson from Ultralight Solutions generosity and Bernie & Shelley Rector
hospitality for hosting the event. The knowledge and experience from these
pilots made the event very interesting and informative. This year I didn't fly my
Challenger Aircraft due to Hurricane Irene approaching the East Coast. Planning to
be there again next year and we are looking forward to meet new friends alone the way.
