2008 - Paratoys Fly-In
This was Bob's Armond 8th annual event from Paratoys who hosted this fly-in.
This has been the best event we attended in United States to date. You
are able to sleep in and fly all day until evening from the breeze
of the water . The weather was extremely warm on the weekend
and the campfires keep us toasty warm at night with good friends and
entertainment. Had a great time flying at Salton Sea and the
sand dunes in Glamis, California. Star Wars was filmed in
Glamis and as you can see from the pictures, you really feel your on
another planet.
Viktor and Patricie, owners of
Walkerjet attended to show their new FW 200. I had a chance to Fly the newly
designed WJ 200 and I was very impressed. The newly designed exhaust gives
a very smooth acceleration throughout the power range. Jeff Goin had flown the
WJ and had commented that it is the most powerful paramotor he had on his back
to date with an unbelievable climb rate.
Overall, the trip from Florida to California was
long, but was well worth it!! The scenic views of the south western
U.S. was an amazing sight!! This was a great event and there was lots of flying
had by all attending pilots. See pictures below.
